Mr. Budi Tjahjono is the newest member of the CCIG board. Currently, he works with Franciscans International as Asia Pacific Programme Coordinator. He holds his bachelor’s degree in education (Sanata Dharma University- Indonesia), postgraduate education in library science (University of Indonesia) and master degree on development studies (Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Switzerland). He has been involved on human rights works in Asia-Pacific and developed specific interests on impact of climate change on human rights as well as on human rights of refugees and asylum seekers in the region. Prior to his current position, he served as the Secretary General of the International Catholic Center of Geneva (CCIG). His other professional experiences include working with International Catholic Movement for Intellectual and Cultural Affairs (Pax Romana – ICMICA in Geneva) and International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS in Paris). He also had educational positions at Sanata Dharma University (Indonesia) and Monash University (Australia). He has published articles and reports concerning human rights, climate change and youth employment issues.
